Ben Pauling Racing announce a new satellite yard a few minutes away from their Naunton Downs base. The yard offers twelve stables and will be overseen by CCI5* International Event Rider Lucy Jackson.
“I have always been keen on providing our horses with a high level of basic schooling so that they can use their bodies correctly to achieve their full potential and in turn help prevent avoidable injuries. "We have sent horses to Lucy for the past couple of years and now we are at a size where having our own satellite yard to provide schooling and specialised fitness work makes sense” explains Pauling. “Lucy has years of experience and has enjoyed great success producing and competing high level Sporthorses both in the UK and in New Zealand. Lucy really understands the Thoroughbred and we are delighted to have her expertise as part of the Ben Pauling Racing team to focus solely on our horses”. Jackson has pre-trained racehorses from numerous respected trainers alongside her Eventing career for the last 20 years. “I adore working with Thoroughbreds for their quick-thinking, intelligence and athleticism. I strongly believe that my flat work, hill work and pole work can really benefit horses psychologically and physiologically. My aim as part of the Ben Pauling Racing team is to help maximise the horses’ longevity within the sport, as well as enhance their performance. It’s an honour to be joining such a successful and progressive team as Ben & Sophie’s. I can’t wait!” The yard will be in action from 1st September 2023.
