UNNAMED (IRE)
SANTIAGO ex. MISSIE ELLIE 2023 bay gelding
One we simply couldn’t leave behind.
Ben and the team were delighted to secure this exciting son of Irish Derby winner Santiago at the Goffs Arkle Sale. Having been particularly impressed by Santiago’s first crop throughout our inspections, we felt this gelding was one of the standout individuals on offer. In what was an exceptionally strong sale, we were thrilled to bring him home and believe he represents outstanding value.
Out of a race-winning mare, this handsome gelding oozes quality and athleticism. He made a real impression on Ben during his parades, displaying a wonderful temperament and a professional attitude despite attracting plenty of attention throughout the sale. Standing at approximately 16.1hh, he has all the physical attributes of a very exciting National Hunt prospect.
Owners will have the opportunity to enjoy every step of the journey with this gelding, from helping choose his racing name through to following his education at Lew House as he is broken in and begins learning his trade over obstacles. Experiences like these make that all-important first day at the races even more special, and we are very much looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this promising young horse.

CLONDAW BUSTER (IRE)
BERKSHIRE ex. VIOLETS GALE 2021 bay gelding
A striking, athletic gelding with plenty of presence, Clondaw Buster immediately caught the eye at the Tattersalls Cheltenham January Sale, where he impressed Ben enough that he simply couldn’t leave him behind. Although a Summer on his back looks well needed he will only improve and we cant wait to see what some sun on his back will do.
Standing at 16.1 1/2hh, he is a smart, well-balanced individual with a great attitude and an excellent technique over his obstacles. A natural jumper, he looks every inch the progressive National Hunt prospect.
Clondaw Buster made a very promising debut when finishing second in a strong division of the four-year-old geldings’ maiden at Dromahane Point-to-Point Course in late December. Always travelling prominently, he moved into the lead five fences from home before being headed by a well-regarded winner approaching the third last. Importantly, the pair pulled well clear of the remainder of the field, highlighting the strength of the form.
He comes from a solid National Hunt family that has already produced multiple winners. With his size, athleticism and straightforward nature, Clondaw Buster looks an exciting prospect who should develop into a smart performer and shed his maiden tag in due course.
