I've Madeupmymind gives owner / breeder Mrs Caroline Waters plenty to smile about with her win under Ben Jones at Bangor. The daughter of Blue Bresil is the first out of Two Swallows, who Ben also trained for Caroline. Neither mother nor daughter are tall mares but for what they lack in size they make up for in their attitudes to the job.
Congratulations to all connections.

Oh Bad you’ve done it!
Bad was so close to making our winning trio a winning quartet at Ascot last season but there was no doubt on Saturday that this Handicap Chase was his. A brilliant ten length win under Ben Jones at Kempton Park Racecourse for David Howden & his family, congratulations to you all - Bad was great! 𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄
𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟐 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐞 Mambonumberfive & Ben Jones kicked our Saturday at Kempton Park Racecourse off with a mighty bang! Allowing the son of Born To Sea to settle behind the early leaders, Ben Jones left it until the second last to ask the question and by goodness, Mambo was electric in response! We are absolutely delighted for MAL Bloodstock & all connections of this classy gelding. A Grade 2 winner with a lot to look forward too George, who looks after Mambo, better keep a close eye on his lucky orange tie, that’s two Grade 2 wins he’s worn it for now! (& no we’re not tired of the song just yet!) OUR BOY STAN gets up to win the last on the card at Kempton Park to provide the team with a brilliant Saturday treble
February has been a month to remember for the Ben’s & all of team BPR with the horses really bringing their A-game. Congratulations to Forty Winks Racing, it’s a long time to wait when you source horses as foals but worth it when they perform like Stan Well done to Molly who looks after and rides Stan everyday! Walter to his friends, provided Elliot England with his first win under rules at Ludlow.
A horse that always gives his all, Whatsupwithyou has created so many special memories for his owners Gill & Richard as well as for team BPR. This winning run was brilliant and a pleasure to watch. Congratulations Walter, Gill & Elliot! What a day to remember. No Questions Asked's quick turn around after his credible second in the Sidney Banks went to plan when the Cheltenham bound Novice Hurdler added another win to his CV.
Ludlow's race provided the Bens with the chance to run the son of Ask slightly differently to previous races and consequentially gain essential experience ahead of his possible Cheltenham assignments. Congratulations to his owners - let the wait begin! Slipway made a winning return to the smaller obstacles after a four year hiatus! Showing the young guns how it's done,
Slipway put a smile on everyone's face - none more so than owner Mrs SNJ Embiricos. Congratulations to all connections on such a happy win! |
