Schooling the babies
This morning Nico and Freddie Mitchel were in so we schooled the majority of our babies in the outdoor school. Below are a few videos of them all. It was a really productive morning and the youngsters will have learnt a lot, for some of them it was their first time leaving the ground.
In other news we have been pretty quiet since Cheltenham. Treaty Girl won on the Saturday after Cheltenham at Fontwell under a penalty. She will now try her luck at Cheltenham in a mares listed novice hurdle. She has proved to be a tough little mare that seems to keep finding in her runs and both her wins have been with ease.
Cassie ran last week on the flat at Wolverhapton, she ran very well considering the winner was a very smart horse rated 79 on the flat, she was 4th only beaten about 4 lengths. Cassie will return to Wolverhapton on Friday to run in another 1m maiden.
We are now looking forward to getting a run into a number of our unraced bumper horses before the end of the season. Hopefully the ground won’t dry up too much and you can look forward to seeing some of our lovely young horses on the track.
All our Cheltenham runners have come out of their races well, we haven’t decided what all their plans are yet but Punchestown will be an option for most of them depending on how they are in the next few weeks.
Next week is Aintree, we will only have two horses entered; Willoughby Court has won both his bumpers this season and will be entered in the Champion bumper on the Friday, he is a lovely young horse and although he has his quirks we think a lot of him. Cyrius Moriviere did not get into the County Hurdle at Cheltenham, so will be entered in the 2 mile handicap hurdle (for conditional jockeys) on the Saturday ridden by Maurice Linehan.
