Thistle triumphs at Towcester

We were absolutely delighted with Local Show’s performance last Wednesday at Newbury. His jumping was a bit novicey, but what can be expected for a horse running first time over fences. Nico said he would come on massively for the run and gain a lot of experience. It was fantastic for Clare and Nick Piper to see one of their lovely horses win as Silvergrove was so unlucky last time at Sandown.

On Thursday we had three at Towcester. Newton Thistle started the day off in fabulous style winning impressively again. He loves Towcester and the ground suited him, he still tries his heart out and went on to win by 14 lengths. The Foxons were once again in the winners enclosure somewhere that they know pretty well when Thistle runs! Kingussie’s first run over hurdles in the Maiden Hurdle was very promising, we were pleased to see him secure a good round of jumping as this has been something we have had to work on with him. He ran on well to finish 4th, one to look out for in the future.

Today we have Drumacoo running at Lingfield first time over fences, he is a lovely horse who we like a lot and should run well.
