Willoughby wins again!

Yesterday was a day of ups and downs. Ben went to Taunton with our two runners and I went to Warwick. Itsnowcato was very unfortunate when taken out at the fourth flight by a loose horse. It was a real shame as he was in great form at home and we really fancied his chances. Luckily Willoughby Court managed to brighten our day at Warwick by winning the bumper. It was a miserable day at Warwick with a lot of rain making conditions very testing. Willoughby managed to go through the ground and take control of the race coming round the bottom bend. We were really pleased with the way he settled in his race yesterday as he hasn’t been the most straight forward horse, however he has proved that he has plenty of ability and now makes it two from two this season. We will probably stick to the bumper route with him as he is still pretty green and only four, we might have a look for a listed bumper next time out. It was a fantastic day for his owners Paul & Clare Rooney who had a double at Warwick with the Kim Bailey trained Red Spinner, and a 33-1 winner up at Newcastle (Mahler and Me) in a novice hurdle.

Today we have The Hon Mackinlay running in a maiden hurdle at Doncaster and A Hare Breath runs again at Cheltenham. Harry is a short priced favourite again at Cheltenham today and looks to have a strong chance so we just have our fingers crossed!

Lastly very excitingly we should have our new website up and running in the next week or so, it is the same website address so keep checking for a much more improved one coming soon!
