A big welcome to 2019 we hope you all had a Happy Christmas and New Year.

It’s fair to say our Christmas was busy and our amazing staff have been brilliant over the Christmas period, with plenty of laughing and a Christmas party that we are all still feeling the effects of!

Kildisart certainly kicked off Christmas in style with a fabulous and gutsy display at Ascot under Daryl. The Graduation Chase proved to be a competitive event with some high-class horses involved with the likes of Activial and Dolos lining up. He was the only Novice in the race against the season pros and Ascot is a track he enjoys, so we were hopeful of a big run. He jumped brilliantly throughout and fought bravely to the line in which can only be described as one of the most thrilling of finishes against Activial, just winning by a nose. Both horses were brave and Activial certainly lost nothing in defeat. A huge well done to Simon, Isaac and Anthony Bromley it was wonderful to see this lovely horse win in the double green colours.

Bright Forecast put on another exciting performance to make it 2 from 2. The Aldaniti’s Partnership Youngster is very much starting to appear to be a horse that could have a very bright future indeed.  He won this with ease up at Leicester under a penalty and Nico was delighted with the way he went about his job this time. He will now look forward to the possibility of some more slightly exciting prospects.

The Grade 1 Christmas hurdle provided a spectacle for most and there is no doubting we were pleased with Global Citizen to finish 4th, but for one reason or another he wasn’t quite himself and didn’t seem to show us the pizazz we know he possesses. He will be put away now until the Spring and we can’t wait to see what he can do come March.

Carlos Du Fruitier also seems to have his season firmly on track. He put in another great display on boxing day at Kempton finishing a close 3rd in an ultra-competitive handicap.

The BPR Racing Club had a fabulous day at Warwick on the 31st with Perfect Pirate back in the winners enclosure and firmly back on track after a gutsy run back over hurdles. I’m sure we will see him out again very soon and hopefully hitting that top spot.

The New Year brings more excitement with some more top class racing, we have some lovely entries over the weekend, notably Creep Desbois at Sandown who ran a cracker up at Aintree last time out, fingers crossed for a good show.
