New schooling ground
I am thrilled to announce that we have a created a fantastic new schooling ground this week which is honestly as good as they come! We have acquired some new easy fix hurdles, easy fix fences, and some new cross country jumps to get the babies off the ground. The field is big enough to fit a line of five easy fix hurdles, five fences, and a row of traditional hurdles also. It is very exciting to have such a good field for schooling and it really finishes off our brilliant facilitates here at Bourton Hill Farm.
With our first few runners just around the corner yesterday saw the first trip to Lambourn. We took 12 horses in total and worked two lots of six. They all worked and schooled brilliantly and we are where we hoped the horses would be fitness wise at this stage. It was great to see Barters Hill school over the easy fix fences and we look forward to his debut over fences at the end of this month.
This week we have one of our lovely bumper horses Boreham Bill entered at Market Rasen on Saturday, he will only run if we have some rain this week as the ground is very quick at the moment.
