Aintree never seems to disappoint, top class racing, a city that welcomes you with open arms and a race that captures the nation.

The few days for the team did provide a rollercoaster of emotions.

Unfortunately, THE CAPTAINS INN picked up a nasty injury when going beautifully in the Grade 1 Sefton. We are very hopeful after Daryl’s quick thinking to pull him up that we will see this talented horse back on a racecourse soon for his owners the Megsons.

The Novice Chaser EQUUS SECRETUS took to the National fences like an old pro in the Topham and ran a gallant race for a long time to get a good clear round over the big fences just getting tired towards the end of the race. He was brave and has given himself the opportunity of having some exciting targets for next season. THE COB finished the Friday of the meeting off well after being thrown in at the deep end. He ran well above his odds to finish just outside the frame in the Champion bumper.

With the arrival of Grand National Day brought with it three exciting runners and of course the chance to watch the magnificent Tiger Roll become apart of history. What an amazing horse he is, huge congratulations to his connections.

We are delighted that NESTOR PARK is ok after being pulled up. Nico reported that he didn’t enjoy the ground. The Megsons’ NADAITAK after a good run in the Albert Barlett put in another fine display in the Gaskells Hurdle to finish off what has been a great season. He will now have a well-deserved holiday and next year we look forward to an exciting Novice Chasing campaign.

The last of our runners for the meeting was the exciting KILDISART who hot off the back of his JLT fourth came to the race in great form. Having opted not to go in the Novice Races he would carry the mammoth weight of 11st 12lbs in the Betway Chase. Under a brilliant ride from Daryl he was impressive from start to finish. Easing into the lead between the final two fences to go on and win in style becoming our second festival winner of the season. He has been a star this year and he deserved to win on one of the biggest stages of all. We are delighted for his owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede along with Anthony Bromley, the team behind the double green.

To have winners at both the two big festivals of the year Cheltenham and Aintree is no easy feat and as always, the team at home are a key part to the success so a huge thank you to them for all their hard work.

Elsewhere ONE TOUCH completed a great day for the team, winning in style on stable debut a hot bumper at Chepstow where many horses where highly thought of and it will surely be a race that will provide plenty of future winners. We are thrilled for owner Martin Jones who looks to have an exciting prospect on his hands.

The team head up to Ayr this weekend where we are set to send some exciting runners with DELIRE D'ESTRUVAL, RINTULLA and MARKOV amongst some of the entries heading the charge up to Scotland
